Day 1: Cusco
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included. This evening, meet the Peru group tour members for a welcome meeting. Take this opportunity to set your intention for the trip ahead.
Day 2: Cusco/Urubamba
Explore the Sacred Valley today with a visit to the G Adventures-supported Sacred Valley Community Restaurant in Huchuy Qosqo. Enjoy a healthy lunch incorporating local specialties. After, take in the breathtaking Andean scenery at Piuray Lagoon on a stand up paddleboard.

Parwa Community Restaurant the Sacred Valley
Contribute to sustainable tourism in Huchuy Qosqo, a small village of 65 families in the Sacred Valley, by eating at the Parwa Community Restaurant. Learn how the resident-run restaurant was kickstarted by G Adventures and the Multilateral Investment Fund, to become a successful farm-to-table program that boosts the local economy and several spin-off microenterprises.
Stand-up Paddleboarding - Piuray Lagoon
Test your balance on a paddleboard, grab a paddle and your sense of adventure and head out on the water. Stand up, get your balance, and admire the mountain scenery around you.
Incan Welcome Ceremony- Urubamba
Visit the temple of Uku Pacha and Muyuq Marca on the hotel grounds, this temple is dedicated to Pachamama (Mother Earth), make an offering as you set your intentions for the week ahead.
Day 3: Sacred Valley
Start the day with a yoga class amongst the mountains followed by a breakfast fresh from the on-site organic garden. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon, opt to partake in traditional Incan healing practices, spa treatments, or visit nearby ruins.

Sacred Valley Yoga Class
Ease into a rejuvenating Hatha class with a local teacher and unite mind, body, and breath. Tune into the deep-rooted connection to Pachamama (Mother Nature) embedded in the traditions of the local people as you move through a series of poses in the mountain air. Refresh and renew yourself in the energy that flows through the Sacred Valley around you.
Free Time - Urubamba
Rest and reflect or get out and explore, the choice is yours.
Optional Activities - Day 3
Ollantaytambo Ruins Visit
Explore this ancient site right in the heart of Ollantaytambo city. Learn about the principles of Incan architecture and get a first taste of climbing around a massive ruins site.
Day 4: Sacred Valley
Drive through the Sacred Valley, passing small towns and Incan ruins. Enjoy a light hike before lunch. After, relax in hot springs before transferring back to your hotel.

Sacred Valley Hike - Lares 2h-3h
Embark on a gentle hike through gorgeous Andean landscapes, pass by potato farmers tending to their fields on the way to a look out over the valley. Take a deep breath in and enjoy getting your body moving.
Lares Hot Springs
Alternate between the pools of varying temperatures, rich in minerals with healing properties and many health benefits, soak them in while enjoying the Andean scenery.

Day 5: Sacred Valley/Aguas Calientes
Wake up early for sunrise yoga before transferring to Ollantaytambo station to board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes. Opt to do the 1-day Inca Trail hike (extra fee) to get a taste of the renowned trek. Or, opt to relax in hot springs.

Optional Activities - Day 5
Hot Springs Visit - Aguas Calientes
Soak your sore muscles in the local hot springs for which the town, Aguas Calientes, was originally named.
1-day Inca Trail Hike - Inca Trail 5h-6h, 11km
Traverse cloud forests while enjoying spectacular views on this '1-day Inca Trail' trek. Start by disembarking the train at km 104. Follow the local guide as the trail rises steeply up into the mountains and winds past the archaeological sites of Wiñay Wayna and Inti Pata. Gain insight into the fascinating culture of the Incas en route to the trek's culmination at the Sun Gate. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way, and reach the Sun Gate in the late afternoon. Enjoy free time to explore a bit of Machu Picchu before the guided tour with the group the following day.
After, take one of the blue buses from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes to rejoin the group and spend the night in a hotel in town. Opt to visit nearby hot springs to soak sore muscles, if time permits.
Day 6: Machu Picchu/Cusco
Enjoy a guided tour of the Machu Picchu ruins with your travel group. Free time to explore on your own or take an optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cusco by train.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour - Machu Picchu
Rise and shine – the best time to see the Lost City of the Incas is in the early morning light. Follow the local guide to Machu Picchu to learn about its history at a leisurely pace. Gain local insight into the Inti Mach’ay cave, Inti Watana, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Water, the Temple of the Condor, and the Room of the Three Windows. Take time to sit and feel the energy of this 15th-century site, now both a UNESCO World Heritage site and voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World (in a worldwide Internet poll).
Train - Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo 2h-3h, 118km
Climb aboard, take a seat, and enjoy the ride.
Private Vehicle - Ollantaytambo – Cusco 2h-2h 30m, Evening 95km
Settle in and scan the scenery from the convenience of a private vehicle.
Optional Activities - Day 6
Inca Bridge Visit - Machu Picchu
Use any leftover energy from your Machu Picchu hike to visit the Inca Bridge site nearby (thought by some to be a secret back entrance to Machu Picchu). Trek up to the bridge that's cleaving to a 579m (1,900 ft) cliff, and soak in amazing views of cloud forest along the way.
